Sister District Action Network (SDAN) conducts rigorous scientific investigations of crucial political research questions and reports results of those investigations thoroughly and publicly. We typically do this through conducting randomized, controlled experimental trials (RCTs).

SDAN provides both lay reports for the average person to read and understand via our blog and short research reports that allow readers with statistical experience to look more closely at our data. SDAN largely focuses on research within the context of state legislative races.

Our research program involves research in three main areas:

  1. Voter registration

  2. Voter engagement and turnout

  3. Volunteer engagement
